Show pig weight calculator FAQ
What is ADG?
ADG means average daily gain. In this calculator, required ADG is the pounds still needed to reach your entered target divided by the days remaining until your entered show date.
Does this tell me what my pig should weigh?
No. You choose the target weight. The calculator only helps you do the math between your current weight, your target, and your show date.
How is projected show weight calculated?
If you enter a previous weight and previous weigh-in date, the calculator estimates your recent ADG and extends that rate across the remaining days. It is only a projection and not a guarantee.
Can I use this instead of official project records?
No. Use it as a planning aid. Always follow your fair, show, club, chapter, or local project requirements.
